BlackBerry’s New Smartphone Now Available for Preorder in Canada
The BlackBerry PRIV is now available for preorder in Canada.
The PRIV is BlackBerry’s first Android-powered smartphone. It could also be the last smartphone the Canadian company ever makes.
The smartphone has a 5.4-inch dual-curved screen with an 18-megapixel camera and a 3410 mAh battery. It also features a physical, slide-out keyboard.
“PRIV has the authentic BlackBerry keyboard, legendary security, streamlined communications and productivity, combined with the wide world of Google Play store apps,” BlackBerry says. “It has been engineered with the world’s finest technology, and packaged in an ultra-thin, ergonomically perfect device with a keyboard hidden by SmartSlide technology.”
The PRIV isn’t cheap, coming in at $899 in Canada, which is $200 more than in the US.
