Canadian Startup Powers Remote Order & Pay Option for SUBWAY Restaurants

The Subway restaurant chain has selected Vancouver’s Avanti Commerce to power its online and mobile remote ordering & payment solutions for all orders placed from a customer’s phone, tablet or desktop.

The Avanti Commerce Platform extends the order & payment process outside of the store, reducing capacity constraints while greatly increasing speed-of-service.

Mobile Commerce promises to revolutionize the way Subwayinteracts with its customers, both increasing transaction convenience and offering an opportunity to enhance customer loyalty. The US national Subway mobile launch has commenced, and is currently being rolled out market-by-market.

Responding to industry and customer demands in the Quick Serve Restaurant market, Avanti allows each store to interact with its customers in a unique and innovative way. It is a virtual Point-of-Sale allowing customers to order & pay anytime, anywhere.

“The Avanti Commerce Platform provides our guests with the convenience to order & pay through our responsive Website or Apps” said SUBWAY® CIO, Carman Wenkoff. “The customer experience is incredibly simple… no lines, no waiting”.

The Avanti team has worked on the development of Subway’s web-based catering program since 2011. This module is currently deployed to 27,000 locations across the US and Canada.

Last year, the developers of the Avanti Commerce Platform were awarded with The SUBWAY® Technology Award. This award – which only one vendor receives per year – recognized Avanti’s instrumental role in the development of technology that continues to drive business for SUBWAY® franchisees.
