RIM Launching a BlackBerry PlayBook 3G and 4G with Rogers, Telus, and Bell?

News surfaced today that may help boost the anemic sales of RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook. RIM is allegedly very close to launching a version of the tablet compatible with carrier data plans.

In fact, if BerryReview’s source is correct, there will be two versions—a 3G and a 4G PlayBook. According to BR, the Big Three—Rogers, Telus, and Bell—will be offering the PlayBook with data plans. No mention of Wind or other startup discount wireless carriers, not even for the 3G version.

So when is this all happening? May, supposedly. Sounds about right; that’s in sync with RIM’s annual conference, BlackBerry World 2012.
