Time to Starting Reading the News from Your Wrist

The Globe and Mail’s news app will be one of the first apps available on Apple Watch.

Apple Watch owners will be able to get news alerts and headlines from on their wrist.

“The Globe and Mail is committed to delivering great journalism to Canadians in innovative ways that meet the ever-changing needs of our readers and we’re excited to extend our popular iOS app experience to Apple Watch,” said Angus Frame, Vice President of Digital Media at The Globe and Mail.

“Many Canadians turn to The Globe on a multitude of platforms to keep them informed throughout the day and optimizing the Globe experience for the Apple Watch app creates a new way for our readers to connect with their country and the world,” Frame added.

The app will be available in the Apple Watch App Store on April 24.

Tangerine, Air Canada, and TheScore also recently announced Apple Watch apps.
