Angel Forum: Being a Director in the 21st Century

Angel Forum: Being a Director in the 21st Century

This unique advanced workshop is designed for existing or future Board Directors and Accredited Investors who want to upgrade their knowledge and interact with other active directors. It is not for entrepreneurs or service providers. Previous workshops on this topic were sold out. This is a private meeting not open to the public and all attendees must pre-register and sign a confidentiality agreement. Only 20 seats left. Other workshops on topics such as Investor Exits and Capital Pool Companies are planned for the future.

An Accredited Investor in BC includes individuals who have at least $1 million in financial assets (cash and securities) net of any debt and before taxes. Or individuals whose annual net income before taxes exceeds $200,000 (or $300,000 combined income with spouse).

This workshop is for Directors of both public and private companies, but it is not a course that covers the 10% of issues (like disclosure obligations, regulatory compliance, insider trading, etc) that make a public company different from a private company.

Why you should attend: If you are or plan to be a Board Director of an emerging company, ask yourself:
1 Do you know the new duties and regulatory requirements of being a private company Director?
2 Are you familiar with the potential liabilities, protective measures and legal issues ?
3 Do you want to network with other Company Directors?
