Many organizations are adopting social media relations as part of their online marketing activities. But, the first foray into blogger outreach can be unnerving, especially if you’re new to courting online influencers.

You don’t need to be nervous about blogging or participating in online communities, but you need be aware of common pitfalls and how to avoid them. This session covers seven risks to watch out for when running a social media marketing campaign, including:

About our speakers: Darren Barefoot and Julie Szabo run Capulet Communications. They specialize in web marketing and social media relations, mostly for technology companies. Julie has worked as a writer, marketer and publicist for all kinds of companies—from Vancouver’s largest live theatre to Ireland’s smallest start-ups.
