Docmetrics on the PDF Trail

Our Yaletown neighbour Vitrium Systems Inc. released the newest version of Docmetrics their web-based lead capture and PDF analytics technology on Friday and it has marketers in mind this time around. Docmetrics software tracks who views PDFs sent over the web, how many pages they read, and even how long they spend on each page. The new release allows users to add fully branded dynamic forms to their white papers and other PDF-based marketing materials.

David Finlayson interviewed CEO Peter Nieforth for an article in today’s Edmonton Journal to provide a little context:

“When we were designing the latest version of docmetrics, we asked our customers and prospects what features they would like to see added to our dynamic PDF forms technology,” Chief Executive Officer Peter Nieforth explained. “Based on their feedback, we made it a priority to ensure that docmetrics users are able to create fully branded forms that leverage the look and feel of their other marketing materials.”

“Millions and millions of PDF documents are passed along every day and nobody knows what’s happening to them,” Nieforth says. “We have the first application in the world that does that.”

Vancouver-based Vitrium is 20 employees strong, privately-held with 55 shareholders and, according to management, is on the verge of closing a new $1.5 Million financing round.
