During his presentation at the recent Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco, Digg founder Kevin Rose encouraged startups to communicate cheaply and with immediacy:
“I really believe that email communication is dead,” says Rose. “Twitter is more of a real-time communication.”
Now is a great time to launch a start-up, he declares. Less competition, argues Rose, means it will be easier to get press. Rose encourages new companies to keep their PR aggressive but as cheap as possible by doing it yourself. I follow Kevin Rose’s Twitter, and usually find his brief updates genuinely entertaining.
