Ottawa-based travel blogging site TravelPod unveiled a major redesign to its community yesterday.
The revamped design gives bloggers using the platform new features, like an interactive timeline at the top of each post, an improved photo gallery as well as an HTML box on users’ profile page that can be used to embed widgets, among other features documented in the TravelPod blog.
Solving a common annoyance on many social sites and blogs, TravelPod no longer requires readers to create an account to leave comments.
Oh yes, and pop-ups are gone.
The update has been several months in the making, with ideas being culled from user feedback.
TravelPod provides a hosted blogging platform specifically for travel blogging and publishes between 35,000 and 50,000 new posts per week.
