Next month two conferences targeting marketing executives responsible for Search and SEM Professionals are coming to Toronto – the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit and Search Marketing Expo Toronto. Conveniently co-located at the Delta Chelsea Hotel, the conferences should attract search professionals and marketers from across Canada.
The eMetrics Summit is going into its third consecutive year. Previously the Summit focus was largely on how to use web analytics data to improve website conversion and marketing results. Although this focus is still foundational and significant, for 2010 the eMetrics Summit will shed light on both qualitative and quantitative approaches to improve communications with customers.
The eMetrics Summit also plans to take mobile and social to the next level, adding them into the marketing mix alongside search, email and display. At the eMetrics Summit you’ll find a number of sessions dedicated to deepening your understanding of social and mobile marketing and metrics starting with Jim Sterne’s keynote, titled Social Media Metrics and named after his most recent book which will be released in advance of the conference.
While the eMetrics Summit focuses on the overarching online marketing measurement and analytics processes encompassing both qualitative and quantitative approaches across platforms, the Search Marekting Expo is much more vertical and tactical focusing on the ways in which marketers can leverage search, social and mobile marketing and the synergies between them.
