Unlike iPhone users south of the border, Canadian iPone users on the Rogers network have up to now been able to tether their laptops to their phones and surf the web using the iPhone as a defacto modem. That happy state of affairs is set to continue, according to digitalhome.ca.
Currently Rogers customers with a 1GB or higher data plan can tether free of charge, but that promotion was set to end on May 3rd. Rogers has instead extended the offer.
There are a few caveats. Those with Family Share Data & Voice Plans, Smartphone and Rocket stick shared data plans, and One Rate Data Plans for Canada and the U.S can’t tether.
SO get tethering people, and monitor your usage with the excellent Rogers My Account iPhone app.
