Summer began today. But techies may already be looking ahead to the fall.
A Dell executive has announced that the company is engaged in discussions with Google. The topic? Implementing Google’s Chrome operating system into Dell’s laptops.
“With Chrome or Android or anything like that we want to be one of the leaders,” Amit Midha, Dell’s president for Greater China and South Asia told Reuters in a recent interview. He added that there were no definite announcements regarding a partnership, but that talks between the two companies had begun.
Google has stated that it expects to release its Chrome OS for computers in the latter part of this fall. Buzz is abound on how severe Google’s blow will be to Microsoft’s Windows operating system, and we may just find out out by the end of the year.
