Sometimes I wish I was living back in the Stone Age, long before the advent of technological innovations like computers or iPhones. Just think – all the open space, free-loving cave women and barbecued mastodon meat you could handle. But then I realize that other technical wonders like indoor plumbing and modern dentistry wouldn’t be invented yet and I know such a life is not for me.
If you can’t go back in time, you can at least discover what you’d look like as a one of our cave-dwelling cousins, the Neanderthal, courtesy of the Meanderthal iPhone App. And if you live in or around Vancouver, you’ve got an even better reason to try it out: free theatre tickets from the Neanderthal Arts Festival.
Here’s the info courtesy of the organizers.
Take a photo on your iPhone, use the app and presto, change-o, you’ve got a photo of a face only a pre-modern human cousin could love!
But wait, there’s more! Send us your pictures to the Neanderthal Arts Festival Flickr Group or through firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and contact info and we’ll upload it to our Neanderthal Arts Flickr group page (or just add it directly yourself).
You could win tickets to the Neanderthal Festival shows happening from July 21 to August 1. The winners will be chosen in a random draw next week.
