zmpsAt Techvibes, we have covered the continuing developments of EnStream – a mobile commerce joint venture company owned by Bell Canada, Rogers Communications, TELUS Corporation – Canada’s three leading national wireless operators.

Yesterday, EnStream announced that domestic person-to-person money transfers are now free through their popular Zoompass Mobile Wallet.

Robin Dua is the President of EnStream:

There is no cost to consumers for transacting with cash today, so in this sense we feel it’s appropriate for us to remove the P2P transaction fees for the same transaction that could be done electronically through the Zoompass Mobile Wallet.  By removing the P2P fees when sending funds from a Zoompass account, we open up a whole new market opportunity associated with micro transactions.

Will this recent change in the fee structure make you a new Zoompass user?  If you already use Zoompass, how will this affect your usage?
