BCIC is giving technology companies from outside the Lower Mainland a chance to strut their stuff with a new twist on their BCIC-New Ventures Competition. This will be the first year of BCIC’s Regional Competition, open exclusively to early stage B.C. technology entrepreneurs outside of the Lower Mainland.

39 companies have entered the competition, and 20 finalists have been selected, representing the life sciences, cleantech, sustainability, new media and high technology sectors. The 20 finalists are:

Each one of these companies will be paired up with a business mentor, attend seminars in Jaqnuary and then present their company to a panel of investors. The investor panel will decide which companies have what it takes, and award cash to the top three companies: $30,000 for first place, $20,000 for second and $10,000 for third. The winners will be announced February 24th in Kelowna.
