Mobilicity has announced it will mark the start of the Lunar New Year, celebrating the Year of the Rabbit with customer bonuses.
The party package provided to all Mobilicity customers includes free calling to China, Hong Kong and Singapore next week, as well as $1 ringtones – Katy Perry’s “Fireworks” and Bruno Mars’ “Grenade” among them.
“We want to give everyone an opportunity to experience unlimited Mobilicity calling to family and friends in Hong Kong, China, and Singapore for Lunar New Year,” said Mobilicity vice president of marketing Sara Moore. “The success of our unlimited long-distance add-ons has demonstrated that Canadians are looking for more affordable and convenient ways to call overseas.”
The holiday calling offer is available to Mobilicity customers from February 2 to 4.
And for customers looking to personalize their phones with multicultural content, Mobilicity apparently has a customizable download store with ringtones and wallpapers featuring Asian and mainstream pop stars, as well as direct links to overseas Asian news sources, like Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post and Shanghai Daily, as well as local news outlets, such as CTV, The Globe and Mail and Toronto Star. Mobilicity offers more Asian content than any other Canadian carrier.
After the Chinese New Year is over, Mobilicity will still offer an Unlimited Asia Add-On, which provides unlimited calling to China, Hong Kong, India and Singapore for $20 per month.
