We’ve told you before about Tether, the BlackBerry app that allows you to easily share an Internet connection between your smartphone and your laptop without monthly fees.
On Monday, Tether took a step forward by making their app available for Android devices. The company says that they will be expanding to other mobile platforms as well, and this first step, exapanding to Android, is just: a first step.
“We’re excited to hit another open platform like Android, which is growing faster than iPhone and Research in Motion combined,” said Tim Burke, CEO of Tether, in a press release. “We noticed a massive trend of users migrating to this platform, and we are responding to the movement in the marketplace.”
It seems likely that the Nova Scotia-based company will move onto the iPhone next; I know, bold prediction, right?
