Vancouver’s PNI Digital Media announced this morning that they have entered into an agreement with drugstore chain Walgreens to provide and operate an online stationery service. The service will allow Walgreens customers to create and customize unique cards, invitations and other printed material.
The announcment marks the launch of PNI’s customized unique cards, invitations and other event driven printed material – and addition to PNI’s tenure in the online photo industry. The Stationery service will now become part of the PNI Platform – a space Walgreens will share with giants like Wal-Mart, Costco, CVS, Sam’s Club, ASDA, and Tesco to name a few.
Founded in 1995, PNI Digital Media operates the PNI Digital Media Platform, which provides transaction processing and order routing services for major retailers. The PNI Digital Media Platform connects consumer-ordered digital content, whether from online, in-store kiosks, desktop software or mobile phones, with retailers that have on-demand manufacturing capabilities for the production of personalized products such as photos, photo books and calendars, business cards and stationery.
