Travergence closes $750,000 seed round from successful Victoria Entrepreneurs

Victoria’s Travergence Interactive announced yesterday that it has closed a $750,000 seed round from a Victoria-based group of investors.

Travergence is a web-based activity booking site that enables people to discover, research, read reviews, and book activities, while traveling.

Currently serving only Victoria, Travergence will use the seed funding to expand its provider content to 60 cities in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico over the next nine months and extend its vertical and destination marketing organization partner program in the same regions.

Travergence was founded by two former Custom House employees – Nick Holland and Brad Williams – and is headquartered in Victoria with a second office in Vancouver.

Travergence investors Don Wharton, Elton Pereira, Adrian Pereira, and Myron Pereira are Victoria entrepreneurs who have successfully created four companies with annual revenues exceeding $100 million, including RevenueWire and ParetoLogic Software.
