Edmonton’s Fission Media is a startup whose latest project is all about helping users understand and take control of their finances.
Fission’s new product is a $2.99 iPhone app called Back in Black that boils your finances down to the essentials: your earnings, your spending, and the distribution of your spending.
There’s plenty of finance apps out there, many of which aim to accomplish the same thing as Back in Black. But this one is the cream of the crop—it’s ranked number one in the finance category in Canada, and boasts top-five positions in the U.S., the U.K., and even Australia.
Rated on average 4.5 out 5 stars on the iTunes app store, Back in Black is well-loved: “Fantastic looks,” “rock-solid functionality,” “remarkably well thought out and easy to use,” “a real gem”—the list goes on and on.
BiB goes in-depth, covering income, expenses, goals, spending, monthly history, reminders, and backups, each feature with plenty of fine detail attached.
There are plenty of free finance apps to appetize you, but we all know we get what we pay for. Invest three dollars in this Edmonton startup and I’m sure you’ll get your money’s worth.
