Rogers has launched a home-monitoring service that lets users remotely manage their home security system, thermostats, lights, webcams, and small appliances from a single device.

Dubbed Smart Home Monitoring, an entire house can be controlled from a single tablet-like touchpad. It also includes 24-hour security that can dispatch emergency services in the event of a break-in, fire, or medical emergency. Plus, it monitors water leaks, carbon monoxide levels, and room temperature to adjust heat or air conditioning.

“From remotely controlling thermostat levels to scheduling lights to turn on when you get home, this new system delivers a connected personalized experience at home, at work or on-the-go,” Rogers said in a statement.

Plans for the monitoring system start at $40 per month and go up to $58 per month. The service is currently only available for Ontario Rogers high-speed internet customers.
