Vancouver’s SilkStart raises Angel round that includes Boris Wertz

Vancouver Super Angel Boris Wertz is living up to his new title of 2011 BC Angel Investor of the Year.

Today local startup SilkStart Technology Inc. announced that it has closed a new round of funding that includes Wertz’s W Media Ventures as well as existing investors Vik Khanna and Pankaj Agarwal. 

According to SilkStart CEO Daniel Chu, funds from the new round of investment will be used to accelerate their plan to revolutionize association management software.

Chu has been busy selling since raising his first angel round in January 2011. The SilkStart roster of clients now includes the Vancouver Board of Trade, Seattle’s Keiretsu Forum, the Washington, DC based US Asian American Chamber of Commerce, VANTEC and DigiBC.
