Ideavibes and TheTop10 have moved into Invest Ottawa’s new startup incubator at 80 Aberdeen in Little Italy. Invest Ottawa is new itself as well, having just recently done a complete rebrand. It was formerly the Ottawa Centre for Regional Innovation.
Ideavibes is known for its “Crowd Engagement Platform,” which enables companies to deploy crowdsourcing and crowdfunding campaigns. TheTop10, meanwhile, is a local directory site “offering value added incentives to end users” such as rewards points and online auctions.
“We are excited to be taking this next step in growing our platform, the brand, and our company. Being located around other start-ups will help us fill in the gaps we are experiencing as we grow Ideavibes,” said Ideavibes CEO Paul Dombowsky. “Also, this area of town has a great energy about it so we’ll see a number of firms taking advantage of the space and vibe.”
“We’re very pleased to welcome Paul and his Ideavibes Team to the Invest Ottawa Incubator at 80 Aberdeen,” said Invest Ottawa. “Paul in a short period of time has become a recognized thought leader in the Social Internet Space. His one year old company is now poised for expansion and will receive intensive ‘hands on’ assistance from Invest Ottawa, our Regional Alliance partners and our acceleration team that includes our 5 Entrepreneurs in Residence. Welcome.”
“One of our goals has always been to integrate TheTop10.ca with as many successful individuals, businesses and organization, such as Invest Ottawa, as possible,” said Caroline Risi, founder of TheTop10.ca, “so that we may use such networks as an opportunity to grow our business and provide our clients with ever increasing levels of service.”
