TechStars NYC announced this week the 14 companies that will join its Spring 2012 class.

More than 1,500 startups applied for the three-month program which begins tomorrow. Of the 14 companies selected, nine have already been operating out of New York City, five are from across the U.S. and two are international with one from Holland and the other from Canada.

Specifically, Vancouver. 10Sheet is “a modern bookkeeping service that frees you from costly bookkeepers and complicated software.” The company was co-founded in 2010 by UBC alumnus Jordan Menashy who previously worked as a strategic product management specialist at Research In Motion.
