One in three Apple employees use MacProVideo’s online education software to train. According to the company, which is based in Vancouver, more than 25,000 Apple workers use the service.
This surprised us – why wouldn’t Apple just create its own internal education software? Then we learned one key fact: the founder of MacProVideo, Martin Sitter, was one of Apple’s original courseware authors.
“Since the beginning, we’ve worked closely with Apple to create exceptional software courses,” explains Martin. “We decided to show our gratitude for their support by offering free MPV Library Passes to all Apple employees, worldwide. To our surprise the offer went viral inside Apple, demonstrating how essential our education is to the staff of the world’s most valuable company.”
Apple Employees sign up to receive a macProVideo Library Pass on a special webpage located inside their employee source system. Their accounts are verified only if the Apple employee uses their official “@apple.com” email address. At $199 per year, this represents $5,000,000 in training that has been provided to Apple employees.
“Apple employees have viewed nearly two million videos from our Online Course Library, making Apple the largest user of our service on the planet,” says Martin.
