RIM CEO Thorsten Heins Shows Off BlackBerry 10 at NBA Game

A couple of months ago, Research In Motion’s chief executive officer, Thorsten Heins, boasted that he was using a prototype device running BlackBerry 10 as his main smartphone.

To prove that he uses BB10 on a daily basis, Thorsten brought it along to an NBA game last week. The executive, alongside senior vice president Andrew Bocking, snapped pics of the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns on Friday with their yet-to-be-released BlackBerry smartphones.

Thorsten didn’t look too excited about the game, but he’s certainly excited about BB10. The platform is expected to have an insanely good web browser, and RIM believes it could even replace the laptop.

RIM will host a BB10 launch event on January 30, with devices expected to hit store shelves in February, according to reports.
