Toronto’s Guardly announced this morning a partnership to provide its Safe Campus™ solution as the safety module in Desire2Learn’s Campus Life™ mobile suite.
Kitchener’s Desire2Learn provides innovative learning solutions for higher education, K-12, healthcare, government and corporate sectors and their Campus Life mobile product enables students to more easily access and interact with resources in their post-secondary communities.
With more than 700 clients and 8 million learners in higher education, K-12 and the corporate sector, Desire2Learn has proven its platform across some of the world’s largest statewide and countrywide deployments of learning technology solutions.
This Guardly partnership will help Desire2Learn further differentiate its Campus Life solution by adding a mobile layer of public safety infrastructure that enables students, faculty and staff to communicate with campus security at their fingertips.
“Desire2Learn has established a strong Partner Network that we’re working with to enable success in teaching and learning,” said Jeff McDowell, Vice President of Market Development at Desire2Learn. “Guardly is an important addition to our Network and Campus Life as it helps learners and instructors stay safe while on campus.”
Kitchener’s Desire2Learn announced in September the closing of an $80 million strategic round of financing from New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and OMERS Ventures – the largest-ever venture capital investment in a Canadian software company.
