Today Salesforce.com unveiled its new Salesforce Service Cloud Mobile and unveiled it’s first formal integration of Canadian acquisition GoInstant.
Salesforce is bumping up the mobile capabilities of its Service Cloud offering, which will make it easier for users of mobile shopping and banking apps to get help and customer service right from the apps running on their smartphones or tablets.
As part of this launch, the Salesforce Service Cloud Mobile now includes “breakthrough co-browsing,” allowing companies to deliver agent-guided assistance to customers on mobile devices via any web browser. This co-browsing technology was acquired when Salesforce acquired Halifax’s GoInstant for $70 million last year.
According to reports, co-browsing functionality should be available in the second half of the year. That would be just in time for the centre stage at Dreamforce 2013.
