Founders Collective to Inspire Vancouver’s Women Entrepreneurs

On April 20th Vancouver-native, Meredith Powell, is spearheading a non-profit initiative to bring together the city’s most creative and inspiring thought-leaders. And these leaders all happen to be women.

Founders Collective is “equal parts TED, Summit Series and The Conversation” and offers attendees a mix of speaker panels, solo talks and open forums for Q&A. “I’m passionate about growing world-class businesses in Vancouver”, Meredith (pictured) explains, “My team and I saw an opportunity to rethink the way connection & collaboration happen and to create a new way. Our goals are pretty simple: explore, innovate, inspire”.

The event draws on Meredith’s own background mentoring entrepreneurs and startups in the US and Canada, as well as her experience with conferences and tradeshows around the world.

And it’s growing attendee list includes founders, CEOs and tomorrow’s up-and-comers. Expect participants from a cross-section of red-hot success stories (HootSuite, Lululemon, Vision Critical, BuildDirect) and emerging Rockstars (Strutta, Spokal, Weddingful, Lunapads).

Interested in taking part? Email the organizers at founders.collective@gmail.com to tell them a bit about your background and why you’d like to get involved.

Registration ($150) also includes a pre-conference yoga session to start the day off right, lunch and post-event cocktails at local hot spot, Wildebeest.
