Microsoft Canada Collaborates with CottageCountry to Offer Vacation Rentals Online

Microsoft Canada has collaborated with CottageCountry, a vacation rental website.

After observing a year of explosive growth within the vacation rental industry, Microsoft Canada has launched a new proprietary travel tool powered by CottageCountry to add this emerging accommodation option to its travel portfolio. The tool is available via MSN Travel.

MSN now allows its site visitors to book 25,000 vacation rentals in 250 regions across Canada, including private cottages, cabin and ski chalets.

“With this tool, MSN users can now search and book vacation rentals as easily as they would hotel rooms or flights,” the company explains. “Travellers input travel details including destination, dates, property type, occupancy, and amenities, and then search results deliver detailed property profiles that meet the renter’s inputted parameters.”

“The vacation rental search results include hi-res photos, rate information and a secure contact form so the renter can contact the property owner in real time,” the company continues. “These results also include reviews, providing an additional level of transparency.”

“This collaboration is a reflection of our shared vision to make vacation rentals as accessible as any other product in the travel mix,” adds Mara Sofferin, VP Marketing at CottageCountry.com.
