Toronto’s BuzzBuzzHome Continues US Expansion

Canadian startup BuzzBuzzHome is gaining significant ground in the US, new data revealed by the Toronto-based company shows.

Last July, a mere 6% of the site’s traffic was from the US. Then BuzzBuzzHome launched a “revolutionary” new site. Now, 25% of its 300,000 unique monthly visitors are from the US.

Aside from traffic, BuzzBuzzHome is also generating more revenue from US customers: it’s signed advertising deals this summer with American home builders Toll Brothers, Macklowe Properties, and HFZ Capital to promote their Manhattan developments.

“With the housing market improving in so many regions across the United States, the timing of our expansion couldn’t be better,” says Matthew Slutsky, a cofounder. “The majority of new home searches begin online and BuzzBuzzHome is the most dynamic site out there that’s completely dedicated to new residential development.”

From its US office in Manhattan, BuzzBuzzHome has cataloged 1,000 new developments in New York, Dallas, Houston and Miami—and plans on adding every major US city to its database over the next three months.

BuzzBuzzHome was founded in 2009.
