Startup Calgary Announces 10 Showcasing Startups for Fourth Annual Launch Party
Startup Calgary has announced the 10 Showcasing Startups for its 4th Annual Launch Party on November 22, selected by a committee of local entrepreneurial leaders after an intense two-week process.
Launch Party is the culmination of Startup Calgary’s yearly activities where 10 promising local tech startups are showcased to an audience of entrepreneurs, investors, government, corporations, and media. Awards and prizes are given, and the community as a whole comes together to celebrate entrepreneurship. This year’s event is on the final day of Global Entrepreneurship Week.

“Every year, we see a 10-times improvement in the quality of startups applying for Launch Party. This year is no different, and that reflects the phenomenal growth of Calgary’s tech scene since the first Launch Party four years ago,” said Hisham Al-Shurafa, Cofounder and Chairman of Startup Calgary.
The event also features keynotes from Brad Feld, Cofounder of Techstars and Foundry Group, Chris C. Kemp, Cofounder of Nebula and Former CTO of NASA, and a panel discussion between local entrepreneurs on how they raised their first round of capital.
