Mayor Gregor Robertson to Kick Off Inaugural Techvibes Tech Fest Tomorrow

Tomorrow night Techvibes is hosting a one-of-a-kind recruiting event called Tech Fest.

We’ve assembled a lineup of some of the coolest tech companies in Vancouver and are giving their founders and CEOs three minutes to pitch the sold-out room of more than 350 job seekers on why they should consider working for them.

Representing over 200 career opportunities in Vancouver right now, Payfirma, A Thinking Ape, Mobify, CodeCore, Unbounce, BuildDirect, Plenty of Fish, Trulioo, Clio, and Global Relay will take to the stage after a couple of special guests kick off the evening.

Mayor Gregor Robertson and Full Stack’s Boris Mann will share their excitement on Vancouver as a growing tech hub.

A former entrepreneur, Gregor has put Vancouver on the global radar as a tech city during his five years in office and continues to work on his goal of Vancouver becoming a “city of innovation.”

Mann has been the city’s most-connected tech entrepreneur for years and is now as the Managing Director of investment firm Full Stack. Boris will share his thoughts on leveling up local talent, attracting top talent from elsewhere, and having growing companies that are worth investing your (employment) time in.

If you’re a job seeker and missed your chance to grab a free ticket to Tech Fest, be sure to sign up to be notified of future Tech Fest events and browse the Vancouver career opportunities on our Job Board in the meantime.
