LNG Studios Says This 3D Scanning Technology Could Change Real Estate Game in Canada

LNG Studios, a Vancouver-based architectural animation and 3D rendering company, is claiming to be the first to bring a “game-changing” 3D scanning technology to Canada that LNG says is set to change the way real estate is marketed and sold.

LNG has adopted a state-of-the-art technology that creates “immersive experiences of interior spaces using a 3D scanner and proprietary software.”

“Vancouver is one of the premier real estate markets in the world, with some of the savviest buyers,” explains Leon Ng, President of LNG Studios. “As technology advances, the architectural and real estate industries want the best and most cutting-edge tools and we believe that 3D scanning is the wave of the future.”

“It’s the first practical application for this type of technology,” he added, “and we’re very excited to be at the forefront.”

Residential and commercial spaces have been marketed the same way for many years, says LNG—renters or buyers see the space in person as well as through photos. But with the emergence of 3D technology, LNG Studios is able to take empty spaces and create digital models that you can decorate and walk through online.

According to LNG, the scanner calculates interior dimensions “with pinpoint accuracy” while simultaneously capturing objects, colours and textures. Within one hour, a 3D model of the scan is produced.

“This 3D rendering allows a potential buyer to fly through the space with full control in first-person perspective, while adding items, enhancing existing ones and measuring the length of any walls or interior elements,” the Canadian company explains. “Beyond that, buyers can also change the colour of walls, swap out furniture or appliance to give them a complete virtual look of their future home before they buy.”
