This week Vancouver-based Payfirma announced that they are giving developers access to their full solution API.
Developers will now be able to use Payfirma’s API to build products for accepting payments online and on mobile devices.
The new unfettered access will help merchants increase their revenue through multichannel payments while gaining insight from their consolidated sales data., according to the Canadian company.
“Consumers want to pay when, where and how they like. For businesses to compete and serve these customers, they need to offer a seamless experience across mobile, web and in-store shopping,” says Michael Gokturk, Payfirma’s CEO.
“Now any merchant can provide an omni-channel payment experience by using our simple API to build custom payment solutions with access to reporting and analytics—the first of its kind in the universe,” he added.
Developers don’t have to look elsewhere if they need additional solutions like customer vault functionality for securely storing credit card information or recurring billing to schedule automated payments, says Payfirma. For the first time, all of these features are available in one place and on a secure platform that takes away developer concerns for PCI compliance.
“This API was created in response to the growing number of businesses that see the benefits of selling across multiple channels,” noted Gokturk. “Our research shows 76% of Payfirma’s customers are requesting multichannel solutions when it comes to accepting payments.”
Access to the API coincides with the launch Payfirma’s Developers Center, an online resource with instructions, sample code, plugins and documentation that make building products with Payfirma simple and developer-friendly.
