In a blast from the past, BlackBerry will be resurrect its iconic Bold smartphone when it launches the Classic, an updated revival of its former top-end product.
Maria Bartiromo of USA Today chatted with BlackBerry CEO John Chen this week, who revealed “there’s a new product called the BlackBerry Classic that’s coming out.”
Here’s how Chen describes the Classic:
It’s an updated and enhanced version of one of our most popular and successful products called the Bold. It will include a keyboard and a good touch-screen, very fast Internet, Web-browsing capability and multimedia capability. But also it will be very productive and very secure. So, all the familiar things that people love, with some new technology updated.
According to Chen, we can expect the smartphone, which is expected to have a 3.5-inch touchscreen in addition to its full physical keyboard, to launch in November.
