Canada’s largest online eyewear retailer, ClearlyContacts, announced today that they are refining its offering to the Canadian marketplace to deliver even greater value to their growing customer base.
According to parent Essilor International, the brand is strengthening its mantra of “The better way to buy eyewear” by removing shipping and handling fees for their glasses customers.
As part of the repositioning, the online eyewear retailer has ended its long running First Pair Free promotion. The program has had 1,000,000 customers having been introduced to the ease of buying eyeglasses online.
“Ending the First Pair Free promotion is a positive move for our customer experience. We don’t want to restrict people in their pursuit of value. Our goal is to provide that value every day and give the customer choice and an experience that is unmatched in online optical.”
In February Techvibes reported that Coastal Contacts (the parent company of Clearly Contacts) was being acquired by French optical firm Essilor International for $445 million.
One day after closing the transaction Essilor announced that Coastal Contacts’ CEO and founder Roger Hardy was stepping down.
