Indiegogo has launched a mobile app for iPhone available to Canadians.
Since launching in Canada in 2008, the country has become the crowdfunding platform’s second largest market and has undergone “strong consistent growth” with a 50% increase in funds raised by Canadians over the last year, according to Indiegogo. The company raised a $40 million Series B funding round in January.
“Since day one we have been dedicated to providing our campaigners and contributors in the US, Canada and abroad with the best funding platform in the world,” said Slava Rubin, CEO of Indiegogo. “This year has been one of tremendous growth for us and we’re investing heavily to continue improving the Indiegogo experience for mobile users.”
The app allows users to discover new campaigns and fund them. It also allows campaign hosts to monitor their campaign, receiving notifications of contributions, comments, etc., as well as being able to post updates and photo
