BitLit is partnering with HarperCollins for a pilot program that aims to bundle physical books with their ebook counterparts.

The Vancouver startup’s deal with the publishing giant will see its database of ebooks expand to almost 20,000, according to the Canadian company.

BitLit allows readers to buy discounted ebooks when they already own a physical version.

BitLit, named to the Techvibes 20 in April, was founded in 2013. Other partnerships include Chicago Review Press and Orca Book Publishers. Earlier this year the startup went through GrowLab’s accelerator program in San Francisco.
