FameBit reached a milestone in July.
The Canadian startup, named to the Techvibes 20 earlier this year, produced 1,000 branded YouTube videos for clients.
The Toronto-based company’s videos generated 30 million views in July alone and paid out $250,000 to participating creators.
Founded by high school friends David Kierzkowski and Agnes Kozera, the Extreme Startups graduate was selected this year to be part of 500 Startups Batch 8 at their San Francisco accelerator, beating out 1,300 other applicants. In June FameBit raised a $1.5 million seed round from Science Inc., 500Startups, and DeNA. And according to a report from re/code, they’re on track to gross $3 million this year.
