Daft Hack Builds App for Recon Wearables to Win $10,000 at GROW Hackathon

After hours of coding and an afternoon of presenting, Wavefront’s GROW Hackathon has ended and the judges have scored the apps.

In third place was an app called Whistler Passport. In second place was Guestfolio, a company based in Whistler, who won an $11,000 adventure for four.

And in first place—for a $10,000 cash prize from Telus—was Daft Hack, who gamified Recon wearable technology.

Earlier in the day, U Grok It won this year’s Startup Smackdown.
