OneClass Launches New Feature Aiming to Help Students Save Money on Overpriced Textbooks

With back-to-school season starting up (at least in some provinces), OneClass has released a textbook price comparison feature in line with their vision to make academic careers more successful and affordable.

OneClass, formerly Notesolution, says the feature was built to provide transparency of textbook prices to students, giving them the option to purchase new or used books, or rent them for a semester.

The Canadian startup has partnered with Amazon, Abebooks, and other major textbook retailers to supply and ship each book. All the textbooks are shipped and supplied by the textbook retailer that the student selects. Students can search from over 30 million textbook titles and save up to 90% on retail prices, according to the Toronto-based company.

“This new feature gives students the ability to keep more money in their pockets and will save them time when deciding where to purchase their textbooks,” says Jack Tai, CEO of OneClass. “We are very excited to be able to use technology to save students time and money.”

OneClass was launched in September 2010 and last year raised a $1.6 million Series A round led by SAIF Partners.
