The award acknowledges the company that best demonstrated the commercialization of an innovative technology solution. The innovation must be “new, unique and a game changer.” Financeit from Toronto and Busbud from Montreal were finalists for the award.

In addition, 10 companies were selected as the Top 10 Up-and-Coming Technology Companies. This category recognizes companies “that have demonstrated significant promise and growth, establishing a path for future success in the technology industry.” Those companies as named by PwC are:

  • Aislelabs, Toronto
  • Bubl, Toronto
  • Thoughtwire, Toronto

“The recipients of this year’s V2R Awards demonstrate best-in-class innovation and a true ability to reconcile their vision with customer needs,” said Eugene Bomba, National Emerging Company Services Leader, PwC.
