15 hardware startups competed to win the Metal Man trophy from TechCrunch’s Hardware Battlefield at CES in Las Vegas this week.

The winner was Voltera, a Waterloo startup working from the Velocity Foundry. The Canadian company snagged $50,000.

Voltera is the maker of the V-One, a circuit board prototyping printer.

Voltera beat out finalists Fogo Digital, Looksee, Peeple, and Sutro.

The final panel of judges included 50 Cent and Yves Behar.
