The New Google Phone is Coming

September has been a busy month in tech with major hardware announcements from Sony, GoPro and Apple. Google, however, will not be outdone as just invited its network to a new event where the lasted Google Phone is expected to be announced. Confirmed with a tweet on Monday evening, the event will take place in San Francisco on October 4 and will also be live-streamed on Youtube. The tweet includes a video depicting the google search window growing into an outline of a smartphone.

The tweet also includes a link to event page allowing users to sign up for the invitation and information on “devices from Google and all the things you can do with them” while further teasing the outline of the expected smartphone. The announcement may include additional hardware as well, including the price and availability information for the Google Home speaker which was originally announced in May this year.

The event is also expected to be streamed from Google’ YouTube account.
