Samsung Showcases Notebook Odyssey, a Laptop Built for Gamers

Samsung made waves when it unveiled the next generation of Google Chromebooks at CES 2017 in Las Vegas this week, but we all knew the electronics company would have a lot more to show off.

Samsung also showcased the Notebook Odyssey, a gaming laptop available in 17.3-inch and 15.6-inch models.

“The Samsung Notebook Odyssey was designed specifically with gamers in mind and is equipped with exclusive features to offer users one of the best gaming notebook available on the market,” said Young Gyoo Choi, Senior Vice President of the PC Business Team, Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics.

The Odyssey features a HexaFlow Vent, which Samsung says is an advanced cooling and ventilation system that helps the device remain cool even under the high processing demands of computer games.

“Today, serious and even casual gamers seek computing devices that not only pack power for intense graphics-rich games but also feature a stylish and portable design,” said Choi. “We’re excited to expand our PC portfolio with a premium gaming solution featuring refinements in design, cutting-edge technology and enhanced gaming usability.”

The Odyssey is powered by a quad-core Intel Core i7 processor and can hold up to 64GB of RAM.

Pricing and availability have not yet been disclosed.
