Computer Outage Forces United Airlines to Ground All Domestic Flights

A computer problem forced United Airlines to ground all domestic flights for multiple hours this week.
International flights weren’t affected by the issue, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

“We’re working to get flights on their way,” United said in a statement Sunday night. “We apologize for the inconvenience to our customers.”

It is believed there was an issue with United’s Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System.

The airline is no stranger to computer problems. In October, a glitch halted departures for thousands of flyers. Passengers were also delayed on occasions of computer-related issues in June and July.
