Set to Be Biggest Yet, Third-Annual Startupong Aims to Unite Toronto’s Startup Community

Uberflip says that registration for Startupong has “exceeded all expectations.”

The Toronto-based content marketing software company’s third-annual ping pong tournament is now just two weeks away.

The event, geared toward uniting and supporting the city’s startup community, thus far has more than 400 registered attendees.

“We’ve had wildly unexpected initial support from startup partners stepping up to get involved,” says cofounder Randy Frisch. “From companies like League, Influitive, PostBeyond, and EventMobi, to corporate sponsorships from companies like PwC and Lennard Commercial Realty, everyone is clearly excited for Startupong.”

Frisch now expects as many as 800 people to attend this year’s event, a sizeable upgrade from last year.

Startupong is taking place on Tuesday, March 14 at SPiN ping pong social club in Toronto. Team packages are sold out, but general admission is free, and there’s also a new VIP option, the funds of which are donated to charity.
