Dominating Digital, Drake Shatters Own Music Streaming Record

Drake’s latest album has broken the records set by his prior album.

The Toronto native’s 22-track launch, More Life, set a new US record for online streams in a single week at a staggering 385 million—shattering the record Drake set last year when Views reached 245 million, according to Nielsen Music.

Drake also sold more than half a million copies of More Life, sending the album to the top of the Billboard 200. He now has 24 songs on the charts at once—a new record (and, again, he had to beat himself to set it).

More Life features a robust set of collaborations, including work with Kanye West, PartyNextDoor, and London rappers Skepta and Giggs.
