Vancouver’s Vision Critical Acquires Pressly to Broaden Content-Curation

Vision Critical has picked up Toronto’s Pressly, an enterprise software platform for curating and distributing content, for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition was announced today.

Pressly’s technology will bolster Vision Critical’s existing customer relationship intelligence software. The Vancouver company said the addition of Pressly means they can offer their customers a new content solution, allowing them to curate, present, and share insights with internal stakeholders and their communities

“Pressly was founded to help organizations simplify engagement among communities of their customers and employees to build better relationships,” said Pressly CEO Jeff Brenner. “That fundamental principle is one we share with Vision Critical, and we are excited to join the Vision Critical team in pursuit of that shared vision.”

Vision Critical CEO Scott Miller noted the existing market research model for organizations isn’t effective unless customers can see the value in participating, a challenge that can be remedied with Pressly’s technology.

“Customer relationships are now impacted by every experience, and customers often feel that their contributions are not valued or even considered,” said Miller.

“With Pressly’s technology, our customers will be able to effortlessly deliver engaging intelligence back to their community members, to demonstrate their members’ influence on the company’s decisions and to build stronger, long-term customer relationships.”

The acquisition comes at a time of high demand for customer intelligence. Vision Critical said their customers are increasingly expecting insights into areas like marketing, customer experience and product development.
